Where Should the Trimbox AG Surge Protector Be Installed?
Trimbox SILVER series AG Surge Protector products should be installed at the output of the residual current circuit breaker (30mA). Non-SILVER series products can be directly connected to the breaker output. If SILVER series products are installed in locations where there is no residual current protection or where the residual current circuit breaker is faulty, or if they are installed in thermal magnetic compact switches without residual current protection, the ground connection should not be made. However, in this case, protection against risks coming from the ground cannot be provided.
Trimbox Installation Instructions
These instructions apply to both single-phase and three-phase systems.
Warnings:
Before starting the installation, make sure to read the user manual and installation instructions. TRIMBOX must be installed by a qualified electrician. If you are installing it in a business environment, this process must be carried out in coordination with the facility's electrician.
-
Open the panel.
-
Turn off the power from the main switch.
-
Check if there is any electrical current at the outputs of the main switch using a test pen.
-
Create a suitable area inside the panel for TRIMBOX.
-
Connect 2.5 mm² multi-strand TTR or NYA-F cables to the L1, L2, L3, neutral, and ground inputs of TRIMBOX.
-
Secure the cables with a star screwdriver without over-tightening, ensuring they do not come loose.
-
Gently pull the secured cables to check the stability of the connections.
-
First, make the ground connection, then the neutral connection.
-
Loosen the outputs of the main switch and insert the cables coming from the phases of TRIMBOX into the slots along with the main switch output cables, then tighten them.
-
To avoid confusion with the main switch output cables, perform this process sequentially and one by one.
-
After this, you can restore the power from the main switch.
-
The green LEDs on TRIMBOX will light up, indicating that it is functioning.
-
Close the panel properly to complete the installation.
Attention!
If the fuse connected to TRIMBOX trips and power is cut off in a system protected by TRIMBOX, your installation may have been exposed to excessively high voltage, causing the fuse to trip. In this case, the devices in your installation will not be damaged. Before turning the fuse back on, make sure the power in your installation is at normal levels and check if TRIMBOX is functioning properly. If TRIMBOX is short-circuited, do not restore power to your installation without replacing it with a new one.

GNDSeries
Neutral-Earth Regulator
The GNDSeries is a model of the Trimbox brand and its function is to regulate the potential difference between neutral and earth to avoid damaging sensitive electronic devices and electronic cards. It also prevents image disturbances on the screens of monitors (including projections), which are generally considered as interferences, caused by ground.
