CLASS B+C SURGE ARRESTER Class B+C surge arresters, which can be found in the unit price schedule under the category of panel-type overvoltage protectors or low-voltage surge arresters with the old item number 718.560 and the new item number 35.115.2100, have less withstand and discharge capacity at lower voltages compared to Class B surge arresters; however, they have been tested with more realistic values regarding the current discharges that can occur in a system.

Class B+C surge arresters must withstand a 50kA lightning impulse at a voltage of 1.6kV and be able to discharge a 12.5kA impulse. They can be used at building entrances or for general protection.
