The most important point we focused on during our localization efforts was our ability to do this by adding added value and without utilizing public resources.

Today, the surge arrester produced by world-renowned brands has been localized with added value under the Trimbox brand and presented to the market as a new generation surge arrester.

For those familiar with surge arresters, if we list the added values we have integrated into our products, Trimbox branded new generation surge arresters:

1- Since each product possesses the capabilities of Class B, C, and D surge arresters, confusion in application and the need for multiple products have been eliminated.

2- New generation surge arresters have protection capabilities even in places with no grounding at all, let alone weak grounding conditions.

3- Since new generation surge arresters also perform surge suppression, they possess high-level protection capabilities.

4- In the event of a neutral failure (neutral loss), new generation surge arresters—especially the gold models—possess infinite protection capability by tripping the residual current device (RCD).

5- There is no cartridge replacement cost in new generation surge arresters.

Knowing that standard surge arresters, which strictly require a good grounding system, have no protection capability where grounding is weak or non-existent, the fact that new generation surge arresters possess protection capability even without grounding constitutes a significant added value for the industry and users.

SURGE ARRESTER PRICES

Undoubtedly, as much as producing a product domestically, the added value and price competitiveness it provides are of serious importance.

If we make a price comparison, a Class B surge arrester applied to the outermost part of a structure can be sold to the end-user for 2500₺, a Class C surge arrester applied to floors for 600₺, and a Class D surge arrester recommended for sensitive devices for 250₺, excluding installation.

With the protection capability of Class B, C, and D along with the extra protection features mentioned above, new generation surge arresters are offered to the end-user in the range of 399₺ to 799₺, including installation.
